Updating Verkilo
Verkilo ships improvements regularly. Keeping current is simple and, within your version, free.
Installing an update#
Updates install over the top of your current copy. Your projects aren’t touched — they’re separate files on your disk, and Verkilo doesn’t move or rewrite them when the app changes.
- Download the current build for your platform from verkilo.com.
- Close Verkilo.
- Install it the same way you installed the first time:
- macOS — open the
.dmgand drag Verkilo to Applications, replacing the existing app when asked. - Windows — run the
.exe; it upgrades the existing installation. - Linux — install the new
.deb, or replace your.AppImagefile with the new one and mark it executable.
- macOS — open the
- Open Verkilo and carry on. Your license stays activated, and your recent projects are still on the welcome screen.
If you installed Verkilo through a Linux package manager, update it there instead —
on Arch, yay -S verkilo-bin.

What’s included#
Your purchase includes free updates for the current major version (1.x). You’ll always have the latest fixes and refinements for the version you own.
