    Updating Verkilo

Verkilo ships improvements regularly. Keeping current is simple and, within your version, free.

    Installing an update#

Updates install over the top of your current copy. Your projects aren’t touched — they’re separate files on your disk, and Verkilo doesn’t move or rewrite them when the app changes.

    1. Download the current build for your platform from verkilo.com.
    2. Close Verkilo.
    3. Install it the same way you installed the first time:
      • macOS — open the .dmg and drag Verkilo to Applications, replacing the existing app when asked.
      • Windows — run the .exe; it upgrades the existing installation.
      • Linux — install the new .deb, or replace your .AppImage file with the new one and mark it executable.
    4. Open Verkilo and carry on. Your license stays activated, and your recent projects are still on the welcome screen.

If you installed Verkilo through a Linux package manager, update it there instead — on Arch, yay -S verkilo-bin.

    Checking what changed#

    1. Choose Help → What’s New to read the release notes for the version you’re running.
    2. For the full history, see the What’s new page on the main site.

    What’s included#

Your purchase includes free updates for the current major version (1.x). You’ll always have the latest fixes and refinements for the version you own.
